Confederate Motor Company, Inc. is an American manufacturer of motorcycles based in Birmingham, Alabama, and distributed by Birmingham Speed of America. Confederate was founded in 1991 by trial lawyer Matthew Chambers, as an “initiative” seeking “enlightened design through true American inspiration.” the company opened shop in San Francisco, California in 1992, moving in 1993 to a prototype shop in New Orleans, Louisiana where its first motorcycle rolled off the production line on 11 November 1994. |

Orange County Choppers (OCC) is a custom motorcycle manufacturer founded by Paul Teutul, Sr. and Paul Teutul, Jr. in 1999. The company is featured on American Chopper, a reality TV show that debuted in September 2002 on the Discovery Channel, which has contributed to the company's quick rise to fame. In 2007, Discovery Channel's sister channel TLC took over the broadcasting.
