Davetta Sherwood (born January 27, 1984) is an American actress, vocalist, guitarist and former model. Sherwood at a tender age began print modeling and appearing in television commercials in the mid and late 1990s. Sherwood mostly appeared on television, including as Jade Rhames in the short lived series Platinum (2003) and as Lily Winters in the soap opera The Young and the Restless (2006), the role earned her a nomination for NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series". After nine months of portraying the role of Lily Winters, Sherwood was dismissed and was recast by the previous portrayer. In 2008, Sherwood launched her production company 5 Foot Nuthin Productions which she claims was inspired by her stage play titled Exactly Different, which will be adapted into a film in the near future. |
