Israel (Hebrew: יִשְרָאֵל, Yisra'el; Arabic: إسرائيل, Isrā'īl) officially the State of Israel (Hebrew: מְדִינַת יִשְרָאֵל , Medinat Yisra'el; Arabic: دَوْلَةْ إِسْرَائِيل, Dawlat Isrā'īl), is a country in Western Asia located on the eastern edge of the Mediterranean Sea.
