Cyclops is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in The X-Men #1, and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-writer Jack Kirby. Cyclops is a mutant, born Scott Summers with the ability to produce powerful "optic blasts" from his eyes, forcing him to wear specialized glasses at all times and a specialized visor in combat. The character is one of the prominent members of the X-Men, and is featured as the field leader of the group. |
